One more day with Misty

For those of you who didn’t know, we found a new home for Misty! The new owners are from Connecticut and had planned on coming today to pick her up. To say our goodbyes to her, Christine and I took her on a long walk in the nearby apple orchard and took this great photo:



After coming home, the new owners called and told us that they would have to come tomorrow instead. So we get one more night with the almost perfect dog—who is watching with an undoubted sense of confusion while we feverishly move most of our belongings into the garage in preparation for our final moving sale tomorrow...

We also got an email from Jordan who has arrived safely in Costa Rica. He sounds VERY happy and is getting ready for the work he's going to be doing. It looks like he'll be working on a project which will help save sea turtles as well and startng work on a video project. The one down side was that his Mac laptop was damaged during his travels so he is looking into getting it fixed...

And then there were three....

Well, we had our first (of four) departures yesterday, when Jordan flew out from JFK airport to Costa Rica. He was very excited for his upcoming adventure and we really enjoyed the last days we had together as a New Paltz family -- but we are also sad that the time has finally come to say goodbye to our life here.

Not much else we can say except that we have to get ready for departure number 2 tomorrow....
