A good friend writes a great article about veterans, disabilities and self-esteem
Ron Tomanio is a great friend from Maine who Christine and I have known for many years. His mother was my chiropractor when I was about 13 and Ronnie was a real inspiration as I was growing up (his daughter Laurel is also the one in the beautiful wedding photo below!). His thoughtfulness, warm heart and joyful sense of humor are just a few of his sterling qualities. So I was not surprised to get a Google alert* for an article that he wrote about a disabled veteran that he has been helping. The story is filled with all of the qualities that make Ron so special -- and remind me how I miss visiting with him. It's been far too long since we have been able to see each other!
