NY Times article -- "Many Blacks Find Joy in Unexpected Breakthrough"

This article in the NY Times is very interesting. As Baha'is, Christine and I stay away from discussions regarding partisan politics -- because the nature of the process is divisive rather than unifying -- but it is wonderful to see that the US has reached a point where it can put forward a woman and an African-American as viable candidates for President. Hard to imagine that it was only 43 years ago that blacks received the right to vote in the US. And while there is a long way to go before we reach a point where race or gender is not an issue anymore, it's a worthy goal to set our sights on....
